After the debacle in Australia, there may be a clamor for the seniors to retire but one man refuses to be bogged down. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. It was made official today that Sachin Tendulkar will represent Shardashram Vidyamandir in the next Harris Shield Tournament.
"In my heart, I am still a teenager and I am striking the ball well and enjoying myself", said Sachin Tendulkar visibly thrilled after the BCCI cleared him to represent his school.
It is common knowledge among the 7 people in Bombay cricketing circles, who follow Harris Shield beyond the newspaper clippings, that Shardashram Vidyamandir, has been struggling recently to stay competitive in the Harris Shield but all of that will change because it is widely expected that Sachin will help his school overcome stiff challenge from Rizvi Springfield from Bandra and Raja Shivaji from Dadar.
Sachin has 67,003 career runs in all of cricket and has a chance at finishing his career at 67,901 which will be the highest aggregate runs in all cricket; that is also a prime number.
Ravi Shastri, the former all-rounder and commentator turned IPL cheer leader, said, "Its runs on the board that count and the milestone is symbolic. It is indivisible and stands for unity. What we have witnessed in Perth is probably most fluent 15 and 8 scored in the history of the game. He is striking the ball well and his form will do Shardashram's chances in the Harris Shield a world of good".
One time cricket romantic and journalist and now management guru and motivational speaker Harsha Bhogle said, "Sachin is an example of how individuals who seek excellence benefit the team as whole"
Outside of these, the reactions to Sachin playing the Harris Shield were muted.
Only Saurav Ganguly, writing for a Bengali publication, was critical of the move and suggested that Sachin Tendulkar is longer young and should not be displacing a more deserving Shardashram student.
It is widely expected that the Supreme court of India will include this publication in their blacklist of organizations that indulge in the creation and distribution of 'objectionable content'
Eric Hofsink, principal at the Launceston Christian school in Tsasmania, issued a blunt statement saying, "What Sachin has done is very un-australian. This option is not available to Ricky Ponting, who in recent times has shown an unnecessary tendency to emulate his older contemporary"
The Supreme Court of India has no jurisdiction over Tasmania.

Brilliant! Love the man and his deeds and don't grudge him his landmarks, but he's had sufficient opportunities to pick up records while helping India as a team.
My opinions may cause other opinions to leap and bite my butt but that's where I stand today.
This Indian team is going nowhere with veterans hanging on.
Exactly my sentiments sb! Isn't it time he just goes away
everybody talks about sachin never delivers when needed, what about the would have been happen to those matches if sachin had not scored those run. It means the team would have lost many more matches. try to rewrite the record books with the 0 scored by sachin in every match & see how many...
