England showed they have "True Grit"
South Africa showed that the stammer in the "King's Speech" is as chronic as before
India in huffing and puffing their way to a win over Ireland seemed to have embraced their dark side like Nina from "The Black Swan".
The breaking news of the day however is the resignation of Yusuf Pathan...
The letter released exclusively to Opinions...
There comes a time in a professional cricketers career when he has to make a choice between his personal goals and the goals of his team. That time has come for me.
I no longer wish to associate "brand Yusuf" with Team India and hereby submit my resignation. A resignation is different from retirement and I would like to clearly state that I am not retiring, I am resigning. This means that I would be open to be selected to play for team India but will not be available to play out of my own free will.
On the surface, Team India is only one of three unbeaten teams in the tournament but the manner and margins of our wins and non-defeats are such that I would like to disassociate myself from those efforts.
Before such time that I and senior members of Team India are seen arguing about the need for aggression in public, I think its best that I resign.
Signed Real Yusuf Pathan

Good one as usual Gol,
It should have been...
Resigned Real Yusuf Pathan !
:-)
Hey Govind, good one "resigned" :-)
Why is everyone so ga-ga over Yuvraj's batting in this game? He ran Kohli out and made a mountain out of a mole-hill. BTW, Gavaskar and Manjrekar were talking about the name "Pathan"..and it was interesting listening..almost felt like us talking..
I was holding my head as I watched our chase unfold. I did not see us bowl but I did think 207 was 50 odd runs too many...
I had thought that we had finally shed our traditional ability to make heavy weather of even the most meekest of chases and weakest of opponents
Only YP put Ireland in their place when he smacked those 6s and 4s
As for Yuvraj, the praise he is getting only shows how far his form and confidence has dipped from the glory days of those 17 consecutive wins chasing
We'll play Netherlands next and help them give us a tough fight.
