England Match Report #3: South Africa (England deliver another thriller)

I would like to thank our customers world wide for the success of the Mattell "toy cricketers" . Kids have loved our new concept; of cricketer dolls in their country colors.

The Shahid Khan Afridi "X-man" doll has found special acceptance and the recent rise in sales is singularly due to this doll. It shows the value of coming up with the right product at the right time at the right price for the right customers using the right icon.

It is no surprise that the slapping doll which is sold as a companion doll to the Barbie doll; Barbie's Harbie has been a top seller for the last 2-3 years.

A variation of the "Master Blaster doll" where the doll talks back synonyms to the words you talk to him is a big hit with multi-lingual kids. We know our customers like no other consumer toy company

One of the products we have in design phase is the "Imran Tahir hugging doll". This doll will be out in a few weeks and we expect it to be our next Barbie...

Unfortunately there is also some bad news...with our South African Team doll set. We are working with the right government agencies in all countries to issue a recall of this toy.

It is a choking hazard.

It's amazing how we people have managed to have so much confidence in South Africa even after their choking history!

I was confidently telling everyone around me that SA will win easily even after their collapse had started. Somehow, I feel I was the one who choked at the end!

I too choked on my gulp of Baskin Robbins when I saw Duminy fall to one of the most atrocious shots played in recent times.

Duminy, the man who played Test Cricket in the IPL final when the asking rate was something like just 12.75 had stepped out to a straight ball with the humongous asking rate of 2.5 RPO !

I missed that part GR because you see when I saw England post 171 and Ireland bat, I thought I would get a few hours of sleep and wake up to find SA have won with 7 wickets in hand and SRT and VS batting down Ireands 150 odd.....

Imagine my surprise when I see Steyn batting and India make Ireland look like NZ of the Ewen Chatfield, Jeremey Coney days...
